Love Yourself Through It

November 3, 2017

Things fall apart in waves.

A more direct way to say it is, sometimes, sh*t hits the fan. Usually it's because we've just been maintaining, or not tending to what has been simmering beneath the surface. Then all of a sudden we are standing in the fire. And if we are grounded enough, we are holding space for ourselves and even others, in that fire. This literally just happened to me.

But know this, at least as I understand it to be, this is growth, a revelation, a breakthrough, a bridge. Pure and simple.

Sometimes, things need to break apart to be reassemble in a new way that serves us better, that addresses the underlying issues, that require us to step up and show up in a new, bigger way. Remember, the butterfly has to rip through, or break through the fabric of the cocoon to access a new phase of life.

Sometimes the breakthrough part of the process is tough.

But as you stand in the fire, know that is it a process to utilize to your advantage and that you are growing. The question becomes, are you stepping up to answer the call? The answer, of course, is yes you can.

As you hold space for this process. LOVE YOURSELF THROUGH IT. Take responsibility and break though.

As I stood in the fire, I knew was being called to step up, and hold space in a new way. Yet I also knew that I was being energetically held through the process. I was deeply supported serendipitously. This is faith.

Grounded in my values and love, I knew I could withstand the fire and reemerge, clearer, bigger, and more aligned, knowing exactly what I need to do. I see it so clearly now, atop of the cinders and I could not be more grateful.

I do not believe that growth should be synonymous with pain, but labor, be it with ease, is still labor. We just have to be willing to do the work.

This is the cyclical Phoenix rising.
